The Conservatives on Cornwall Council have welcomed the news that St Erth Station is getting a share of the £300m Access for All fund from the Department for Transport in order to improve accessibility at the station.
Commenting Conservative Group Leader and local councillor Linda Taylor said:
“I am absolutely delighted to see St Erth Station receive its share of this funding and have worked hard with St Ives MP Derek Thomas to ensure the needs of this station were strongly voiced during the bidding process.”
“I look forward to seeing the funding deployed and used to make the station better for everyone to access.”
“Yet more hard evidence, along with the new Long Rock depot and many other projects, of this Conservative Government’s investment in transport infrastructure, the biggest since Victorian times.”
